Sidney Crosby is widely considered one of the greatest players in hockey history because of his elite skill, leadership, and remarkable list of achievements. As captain of the Pittsburgh Penguins, Crosby has led the team to three Stanley Cup Finals championships (2009, 2016, 2017) and won the Conn Smythe Trophy twice for his dominant playoff performances. Individually, he has earned multiple Hart Memorial Trophy awards, two Art Ross Trophy titles, and the Maurice "Rocket" Richard Trophy. I nternationally, Crosby also cemented his legacy with 2010 Winter Olympics gold and 2014 Winter Olympics gold for Canada men's national ice hockey team, including scoring the iconic “Golden Goal” in overtime during the 2010 gold medal game against the United States men's national ice hockey team. His combination of team success, individual awards, and clutch international moments make him one of the most complete and accomplished players the sport has ever seen.
